Ninoy Aquino Stadium
The Ninoy Aquino Stadium is an indoor sports arena in Malate, Manila. It belongs to the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and is managed by the Philippine Sports Commission. It is named after Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.
History
The stadium was inaugurated in 1989. It has hosted basketball, boxing, and national tournaments. A major renovation in 2019 upgraded facilities for the 30th SEA Games, including improved seating, lighting, and air-conditioning.
Capacity
The Ninoy Aquino Stadium has a seating capacity of 6,000 spectators. Its design follows FIBA standards and includes VIP areas, general admission, and accessible seating. It is smaller than Araneta Coliseum but larger than Rizal Coliseum.
